### Mandari Construction Supplies - API Models

This directory contains the PHP models for the Mandari Construction Supplies API. Each model corresponds to a table in the database and provides methods for CRUD operations and specialized queries.

#### Assumptions and Method Signatures

* **PDO Connection:** All models expect a valid `PDO` instance passed to their constructor.
* **Activity Logging:** Mutation methods (`create`, `update`, `delete`) include calls to a private `logActivity` method to record admin actions in the `admin_activity_log` table.
* **Prepared Statements:** All database interactions use PDO prepared statements to prevent SQL injection.
* **Input Validation:** While basic type casting and parameter binding are handled, these models assume that high-level validation (e.g., checking if a slug is unique) has been performed or will be handled by the endpoint/controller using `helpers/validate.php`.
* **Soft Deletes:** The `Product::delete` method supports both soft deletes (default) and hard deletes.
* **Child Tables:** The `Product` model handles complex nested data for applications, benefits, uses, and specs by managing their respective child tables during create and update operations.

#### Model List

*   `Product.php`: Manages the `products` table and its children (`product_applications`, `product_benefits`, `product_uses`, `product_specs`).
*   `Category.php`: Manages the `categories` table.
*   `QuoteRequest.php`: Manages the `quote_requests` table.
*   `Newsletter.php`: Manages the `newsletter_subscribers` table.
*   `ContactMessage.php`: Manages the `contact_messages` table.
*   `Settings.php`: Manages the `site_settings` table (key-value store).
*   `AdminUser.php`: Manages the `admin_users` table.
* `Dashboard.php`: Provides aggregated statistics for the admin dashboard.
